COMMUNICATIONS

 December 2nd, 2023. Madrid

Dear Colleagues:

We are delighted to share with you the exciting news that AIBR (Network of Iberoamerican Anthropologists), in collaboration with the School of Geography and History at the Complutense University of Madrid, will be hosting the 10th AIBR International Conference of Anthropology. The conference is scheduled to take place in Madrid, Spain, July 9-12, 2024.

Building on the success of the 9th AIBR Conference held in Mexico City, which saw participation from over 700 attendees, AIBR is honored to have the invaluable support and partnership of the School of Geography and History at the Complutense University of Madrid. This esteemed institution, renowned for its academic excellence, is recognized as a national and international hub for anthropology, making it an ideal setting for the 10th anniversary of the AIBR Conference.

The significance of this particular edition cannot be understated, as it marks the tenth milestone in AIBR’s journey, and we are thrilled to celebrate it in Madrid, where it all began. Additionally, we have selected a highly compelling theme for this special occasion:

ANTHROPOLOGICAL INTELLIGENCE

The AIBR Conference welcomes the opportunity for anthropological discourse and the exploration of highly pertinent subjects in this era characterized by a technological influx. Key questions arise, including: How do Anthropology and the Social Sciences, at large, respond to the technological revolution brought about by artificial intelligence? What transformations are we witnessing in our research methodologies? What hurdles do we need to overcome in our professional practice? These and numerous other questions are certain to take center stage during the 10th Congress, fostering engaging discussions and insights.

All information is at: https://2024.aibr.org/en/presentation/
